Frequently Asked Questions
Why is the practice transitioning to telehealth?
We’ve decided to transition to a telehealth-only model to offer our clients a more flexible and convenient way to access therapy. This change will allow us to continue providing consistent, high-quality care while ensuring the safety and comfort of our clients, regardless of location.
What exactly is telehealth therapy?
Telehealth therapy involves video conferencing with a licensed therapist from the comfort of your own home or any private space. It uses secure, HIPAA-compliant technology to ensure confidentiality and data protection during your sessions.
How do I get started with telehealth?
To participate in telehealth therapy, you’ll need:
-
A stable internet connection
-
A computer or smartphone with a camera
-
A private, quiet space for your session
Once your appointment is scheduled, your therapist will send you a secure link to join your session at the scheduled time.
Will the therapy process change with telehealth?
The therapy itself will remain the same. We will continue to use the same therapeutic methods and approaches that have been effective for you. The main difference is that your sessions will be conducted virtually rather than in-person.
Is telehealth as effective as in-person therapy?
Yes! Telehealth therapy has been shown to be just as effective as in-person therapy for many individuals. The ability to meet remotely can offer greater flexibility and accessibility, and our therapists are fully trained to provide high-quality care via telehealth.
What technology do I need to participate?
You’ll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, along with a stable internet connection. The platform we use is HIPAA-compliant and easy to access.
How do I schedule a telehealth session?
Scheduling will remain the same. You can continue to book sessions as usual, and your therapist will send you a link to your virtual appointment before the scheduled time.
What about insurance and payment?
We will continue to bill your insurance as we do for in-person sessions. Co-payments will still be due at the time of your session. If you have any questions regarding billing, feel free to reach out to our office.
What if I’m not comfortable with telehealth?
We understand that transitioning to telehealth may feel new for some, and we are here to assist you. If you have any concerns or questions about the technology, please reach out to us at (270) 495-1222 or info@evolvinglivesllc.com, and we will ensure you feel comfortable and confident with the process.
Will anything else change?
While we are transitioning to telehealth, the quality of care and the commitment to your well-being will remain unchanged. We are here to support you and provide a secure, confidential space to continue your therapeutic journey.
